David is developing a successful practice across a range of areas of chambers’ work with a particular focus upon civil law and immigration. He joined chambers as a tenant in October 2018 following the successful completion of his pupillage.

Prior to coming to the bar, David worked for several years in Local Government and the Civil Service. He also regularly appeared as an advocate in appeals to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and continues to accept instructions in this area, as Counsel.

Legal Expertise

David accepts instructions across a broad range of general civil work, including road traffic and credit-hire, personal injury, landlord and tenant matters and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 cases. David also accepts paperwork instruction to provide advice and to draft documents.

David accepts instructions in a wide-range of immigration, nationality and asylum matters. He acts both for appellants and for the Secretary of State for the Home Department from whom he accepts regular instruction. This expertise affords him an excellent knowledge and understanding of the relevant law, the First Tier Tribunal process and case management & strategy.
