Bruce Tregoning

Bruce was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002 prior to becoming a Barrister in 2009. As a Solicitor Bruce specialised in family law; first in London with a mixed private and public law caseload and then for 6 years as a Child Protection Lawyer for a Local Authority on the South Coast. He also has experience of Mental Health and Adult Protection litigation.

Bruce currently has a wide ranging practice in family law in the High Court, County Court and Family Proceedings Courts. He represents parents and children in public law proceedings including removal from the jurisdiction and has developed a specialism in Secure Accommodation proceedings.

He is also regularly instructed in private law proceedings in respect of contact and residence disputes and in respect of injunctions under the Family Law Act 1996 and Protection from Harassment Act1997.

He is a member of the Family Law Bar Association (FLBA).
